How it is and how it'll be:
The view as you walk in...
...and up the stairs
Behind the front door.
Cupboard under the stairs. Missing door. Never mind, it's all coming out
On down the hall, and there's a loo facing you. That's coming out too, like a lot of the walls at the back of the ground floor.
Odd little lobby into the back garden.
Garage! That'll become the kids' lounge. After a refurb, of course. We're not animals.
Looking the other way, with door into hall.
It all works, honest...
Behind the garage, backing onto the garden, is what you might call the boiler room.
Hot-air heating system. Mistrusted by builders, but beloved by those who have it.
The extension - very unusual, possibly unique, for this estate - has two rooms. Here's the front one, where there seems to have been a series of flooring-based mishaps. (And that door's painted shut: looks like the two rooms were rented out to strangers.)
Looking forward from that sealed door as Nick and Lizzie make plans.
Rear extension room: there's that sealed door again. This will become the kitchen.
Looking the other way, to the south-facing garden.
