Sun 20 Oct

Another tip-trip day.

The last of the kitchen/lodger wood - and a load of old plastic housing - nicely filled the back of the Zafira. (By the time I got to the tip, it was, suitably, tipping it down. I remained stoical.)

That leaves the music room pleasingly empty...

...or it will when the charity wagon comes tomorrow and takes all this. Hopefully.

On the ground floor, you can now see daylight straight through the house from the front door. That's because they've been busy knocking out the rest of that partition. It will eventually become a brick wall - with reclaimed bricks to match the outside of the house - but by that time, the current toilet (the closed door on this pic) will be gone and replaced by a 3.5m bifolding-doored picture window. So that'll be nice.

The next decision to be made is doors: two for the middle floor (master and ensuite), but also the top floor. Here, the frames are metal with a feature window at the top to allow throughflow of light; changing the frames might endanger that architectural idea. Should we just change the doors?

Well, at least Nat's room has a wall back on the bathroom side - and first-fit electrics.

They've also boarded up the back of her cupboard, and we're thinking it could have not just a seat but also a neat little bookcase in the nook. Nat's Book Nook.

Stairway to heaven... they've fitted the loft ladder. That'll be handy.
