Not much involvement on Saturday: quick tip-trip with the two tellies left behind by previous inhabitants. Tell you what, it's easy to forget how bloody heavy cathode ray tubes were.
Back on Sunday night to check progress, and they've been whacking up the plasterboard in the ground-floor den.
Pretty much all ongoing work is on the ground floor; upstairs is mainly waiting for the structural stuff - for example, we can't tile the bathrooms in case the house settles and cracks the tiles. Same with the new windows, but as we've got a window-fitting session booked for this coming Wednesday, we'll get them to do the front (1st and 2nd floors) and do the back of the house later.
Feels a bit dead at the minute but we're hoping that the structural work will rocket along this week, after which we'll be back down to one gang on site with a list of things to do.
