It's now Mon 16th Dec. Round about Wed 27th Nov, this build starting getting what we might euphemistically call problematic, and I ran out of time to keep this blog updated.
Within a week, I barely had time to sleep.
However, we had time to take pics, which are digital and thus datestamped, so I will now whack them up in something like the right order - and continue to date the blog entries as they were.
So...
Much less wall than there was, and that's a good thing. But...
...it appears to be coming down with little concern for our centrepiece new bifolding picture doors. This is a worry, especially as we'd asked for the doors to be boarded up.
Crud getting into the door runners, too, which is Very Bad For Them.
Ceiling supports, which are becoming ever more important.
Here's where the steels will go when the wall is ready...
...but there's still too much wall yet.
Comical toilet now has a fetching brick-ginger toupee.
The famous steels. At last!
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the house, the Poles are doing what they can. Here's Wojciech building the front wall in what was the garage
And then, as darkness falls, the English and Poles get together and the steel across the back finally goes in. At last!
