Windows day! The first of two days for the fitting of the new windows: today, the front of the house. Here's one panel, in the garden, prior to being lofted into position.
The panels are full-width, going right across the house. Here's a chap fitting the top floor - leaning out of what will be the lodger's window.
Here's a handsome dude looking out of what will be his lounge window.
While the lounge window was out, we got our new (to us) leather couch lifted in through it. Dear old Nick had been there since before 8am trying to worry some platforms into position, but in the end we simply lifted it up and through the hole. Simple.
Lady of the manor relaxes:
...and here's the view from that sofa. When you sit, you lose the road - which is hardly ugly, but suddenly it's all about the green, man.
Job done. A good day.
